로버트 인디애나 Robert Indiana
Robert Indiana (b.1928), a major figure in post-war American art, was born in New Castle, Indiana. He studied at the Chicago Art Institute and the University of Edingurgh College of Art. He came to New York in the 1950's where he became a central figure of Pop Art, along with Warhol, Lichtenstein, Oldenburg, Wesselmann and Rosenquist. Robert Indiana's artworks are provocative experiments that seductively transform linguistic imagery, recontextualized by personal experience, history and current events.
